  • I lived at Addison Crater Woods in 2009 and it was AWFUL. We lived on the newer side of the development and our apartment was brand new. The countertops were cracked the carpets were stained. Within about a month the ceiling started cracking away from the walls. The landlords also did not uphold the policies in the rental agreements - especially when it came to animals. Many people let their dogs run loose and when I was pregnant was nearly attacked by another neighbor\'s dog. Housing told me they would attempt to do something about it but never did and the dog continued to run free. The crime was TERRIBLE. The first month we lived there we received a notice from the landlords that several cars had gotten broken into. Then people were coming in and syphening gas out of cars and my husband actually caught someone doing it. Also at the subway on Crater Rd by the development there was a shooting. The wal-mart and several of the stores in front of the housing development were broken into while I lived there. The straw that broke the camel\'s back was when my downstairs neighbor\'s apartment got broken into in broad daylight. We ended up having to get a crime report from petersburg police department and received orders from my husband\'s commander that it was unsafe to there and we were authorized to break our lease. All in all it was a very scary experience and I would not reccomend it at all. Not to mention the staff was not always the most professional and several times we had problems where they lost our checks and gave us attitude.
